I

Last week I made a press mold of a spout. I was looking to make a spout that was a little more congruent with my work and had the planes and hard edges that much of my work has. I wanted a way to efficiently do this so I could bypass spending 45 minutes working on one spout. I had considered doing this years ago and never got around to it but with the Jason Hess workshop earlier this summer and Rachel Garceau, plaster guru and fellow Arrowmont Resident, around to to inspire me to try something new I went for it. While I like the scale and versatility of this spout I think that the next one I make will be about half this size so that it doesn’t require such a large tea pot.
